Highbury was one of my favourite old stadiums, as it probably was for many football fans. This was one of the first three stadiums that I painted.

The approach to the Holte End at Villa Park. I fancied the challenge of painting that complex pattern of railings, and they certainly tested my patience!

Oakwell, Barnsley on a typically British rainly winter evening. I saw this image on a Facebook football stadium site and secured the permission of the photographer, Daniel Berry, who kindly allowed me to use it as source material.
